Goal: To provide the student with the knowledge and skills to become a Fiber Optic Assembler or Installer/Technician. Program Length: Three (3) weeks/ 120 hours. 10 credit hours.
Program Description: Introduction to the basics of fiber optics. Students will learn guidelines for fiber optic design and installation, techniques for pulling and preparing cable, as well as cable termination and testing.

Job Placement Potential: Telephone companies, Internet Companies and Cable Companies.
Exams Required: Certified Fiber Optic Technician Exam and Classroom Tests.
Schedule: Classes start on the first Monday of each month.
Admission Requirements: .18 years of age or older and have a basic knowledge of reading and math skills.
