Goal: Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to become Class "A" CDL licensed drivers qualified to drive long distances, regionally or locally.
Program Length: Four (4) weeks/ 160 hours. 12 college credit hours.
Program Description: Intensive study of DOT laws governing the motor carrier industry. Fundamentals of preventative maintenance and inspection procedures. Practical training in over-the-road driving to include backing skills and pre-trip inspections. Emphasis on defensive driving techniques.

Occupation Pay Scale: Commercial Drivers average $2,400 - $3,600 monthly.
Exams required: DMV Learners Permit Test, State Road Test, and DOT physical.
Admission Requirements: 18 years of age or older, valid drivers license, a copy of driving record and passing a DOT medical physical.
Financial Aid: Depends on locality of residence and household income.
